Sistema Ambiente Spa is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with Italian Law No. 4 of 9 January 2004. This accessibility statement applies to www.sistemaambientelucca.it.

Sistema Ambiente Spa has invested resources to ensure that its website is easier to use and more accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We firmly believe that it is a collective moral obligation to enable anyone to access information, products or services without encountering obstacles or barriers, so that everyone can live with dignity, equality and independence.

Sistema Ambiente Spa continues its efforts to remove any potential digital barriers on its website and to constantly improve the accessibility of its digital services, including through the UserWay PRO accessibility widget: a tool which, thanks in part to Artificial Intelligence, allows users to adapt and enhance their browsing experience according to their individual needs.

Enabling the Accessibility Menu

The widget is completely free for website users and helps improve the site’s compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1). UserWay PRO offers a wide range of features to improve website accessibility and the user experience through a dedicated panel that can be accessed by clicking the widget icon or using the keyboard shortcut CTRL+U, as listed below.

  • Screen reader: Reads all page content aloud without requiring an external screen reader.
  • Dictionary: Allows users to consult dictionaries without leaving the website. Essential for those with cognitive disabilities, non-native English speakers, and others.
  • Larger Text: allows you to increase the text size on the screen with four different zoom levels, making every part of the site immediately more readable.
  • Saturation: sets the color intensity of a website to high, low, or grayscale.
  • Contrast: inverts the colors of a website or lets you switch between light and dark contrast modes.
  •  Smart Contrast: adjusts the website’s colour schemes to improve the contrast and readability of the content.
  • Highlighted links: emphasises links, buttons and other interactive, clickable elements using light, high-contrast colours, making them easier to identify and improving the website’s usability, navigation and overall accessibility.
  • Stop animations: pauses content that moves or updates automatically and is considered a barrier to accessibility; it stops animations and flashing content that are distracting and may trigger epileptic seizures in those at risk.
  • Text spacing: adjusts text and line spacing to improve readability for users with dyslexia and visual impairments, offering three levels of adjustment for a personalised and more accessible reading experience.
  • Line spacing: increases the height of the lines to ensure more comfortable spacing for all text on the site.
  • Text alignment: align the website’s text to the left, right or centre to ensure a personalised and more accessible reading experience.
  • Dyslexia-friendly font: the ‘UserWay Dyslexia Friendly’ font improves readability and offers a simpler, smoother reading experience for visitors with dyslexia.
  • Large cursor: increases the standard cursor size by 400% so that the pointer is always visible. This enables faster and more accessible navigation through hyperlinks, tabs and form elements.
  • Hints: displays alternative text and ARIA labels for on-screen elements with a simple mouse hover. The tooltips are clearly visible, high-contrast and easy to read for visually impaired users with accessibility needs.
  • Page structure: quickly reveals page headings, landmarks and links in a clear, structured, easily navigable and accessible way. It helps both disabled and non-disabled users find the content they want more quickly.
  • In addition to the features that users can activate from the accessibility menu, the UserWay PRO widget is able to detect numerous non-conformities on the website and make the necessary corrections in real time, without modifying the source code but only what the browser displays on screen. This makes the website more accessible to all end users, including those who use assistive technologies.
  • This accessibility statement considers the non-conformities corrected by the UserWay PRO widget to have been resolved, as the changes it makes meet the success criteria set out in current legislation. The website thus provides information that is also accessible to people with disabilities.

In addition to the features that users can enable from the accessibility menu, the UserWay PRO widget is capable of detecting numerous website non-conformities and making the necessary corrections in real time, without modifying the source code but only what the browser displays on the screen. This makes the website more accessible to all end users, including those who use assistive technologies.

Despite the work carried out, this website is currently still only partially compliant with the requirements set out in Appendix A of the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard, due to the instances of non-compliance listed below
